Drew: Hello everyone and welcome to another question of the week. This week, I have Randy here who is one of our website design experts and this week’s question is, why is mobile optimization so important?
Randy: That’s a great question, Drew. Mobile optimization is very important because 60% of Google searches are performed on a mobile device. And they say, this is directly from Google, that people are five times more likely to leave a site that’s not mobile optimized. Everybody wants their website to be first, so you are going to have to do a few things to get there.
The first thing you can do is use some of Google’s amazing tools like their mobile friendly test. The mobile friendly test lets you put your URL in there. It tells you what you can do to kind of fix it up and you can go from there.
The second one is a page speed test. Page speed is one of the most important rating factors for your website.
Drew: Awesome. Now are both those tools free online?
Randy: Yes. You can get them on Google’s website. Actually they have a ton of free documents on their website as well that will allow you to get your website mobile optimized.
Drew: Awesome, so we’ll include those links down below on the website here. Take a look at them. If you have any questions, feel free to reach out. If not, we’ll see you next week. Thank you.
