Transform your Facebook Page From Nothing To Something In 5 Minutes
Whether you like to admit it or not most people – including your customers – are on Facebook and using it daily basis (even if they do not admit it).
The problem is that many home contractors do not see the value in using it for their business, and simply leave their Facebook business page a ghost town of logos and old photos.
Is Your Facebook Business Page A Ghost Town?
If you are like most people the hardest part of getting going on Facebook is not the setup of the page or posting relevant posts – it is getting your page more views. But to get more views you need to have potential customers like your page! And we know starting with 0 to a handful of likes can be downright depressing – but it shouldn’t be.
Instead of focusing on new customers for your Facebook page, think about your own network. How many friends and family own homes and can at some point use your services? Are they aware of what your business does and is it top of mind? If not Facebook is a perfect way to reach them and keep your company top of mind.
How many times have you been talking to your friends that forgot that you can help them? Facebook can help solve this issue and also help to drive new leads to your business.
Turn Your Page Around In 5 Minutes!
This is the easy part – invite your friends to like your Facebook page. The average person has 338 friends on Facebook. If just 25% of those people are potential clients you are off to a great start.
How to do it:
- Log into your personal account
- Navigate to your companies Facebook page
- Click Invite friends to like this page (see screen shot to the right)
- Click on friends that you want to like your page
Next ask your employees to do the same with there friends. Make it a game to see who can get the most.
The main thing to keep in mind is not to target people that are not potential customers. This can cause low engagement to your page and will make it difficult to get new posts out to your network. When asking a friend to like a page do not ask them unless they can actually use you service.
Now What?
Once those steps are completed be sure to make sure to get others to follow you by offering promotions and by giving them a reason to follow you. You can do this through relevant and engaging posts.
Remember social media is not set it and forget it. Be sure to continue to update your page as often as possible!
